Activities the choir seeks:

At St. Cecilia Choir, our mission goes beyond music, it’s a calling to lift our hearts and voices in praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to create an atmosphere where every note sung becomes an offering of love, gratitude, and devotion.

Our activities are focused on:

  • Worship Leadership: Enriching every Mass and service with songs that inspire prayer, reflection, and unity among the faithful.
  • Spiritual Growth: Encouraging members to deepen their personal relationship with God through music, prayer, and fellowship.
  • Musical Development: Helping singers discover and refine their voices, learning to sing not just with skill, but with spirit and sincerity.
  • Community Fellowship: Building a family of faith where joy, support, and friendship flourish through shared rehearsals and ministry.
  • Service Through Song: Participating in parish events, feast days, and outreach activities to bring comfort, hope, and joy through sacred music.
  • Meditation: St. Cecilia Choir seeks to be a vessel of grace, a choir that not only sings for the Lord but sings to the Lord, touching hearts and uplifting souls through every hymn and harmony.

Suggestions the choir deems appropriate for developing its work

St. Cecilia Choir recognizes that sacred music is both a gift and a responsibility. To continue offering our best to the Lord and the parish community, the choir seeks to grow

in faith, unity, and musical excellence through the following:

  • Regular Spiritual Formation: Encouraging members to strengthen them relationship with God through prayer, Scripture reflection, and spiritual retreats.
  • Continuous Vocal Training: Organizing workshops and practice sessions to improve vocal technique, harmony, and liturgical awareness.
  • Deepening Liturgical Understanding: Studying the meaning and purpose of church music to ensure that every song aligns with the spirit of worship.
  • Fostering Team Spirit: Promoting mutual respect, encouragement, and fellowship among members, so that our unity reflects Christ’s love.
  • Recruitment and Mentorship: Welcoming new members, especially the youth, and guiding them in the ministry of sacred music.
  • Commitment to Service: Supporting parish celebrations, feast days, and outreach programs through dedicated musical service.
  • Collaboration and Renewal: Engaging with other choirs, attending diocesan music programs and exploring new sacred compositions that uplift the soul.

Through these efforts, the St. Cecilia Choir hopes to grow as a faithful and harmonious community, one that serves with joy and sings not just in tune, but in the Spirit.
